0 goals from 10 appearances in 2013-14 did not set the field ablaze in his first season. His second season netted only 1 goal from 26 games before his move to Monaco.
2015/6 - 2017
5 from 34 games might seem paltry but it was a continuation of his gradual improvement during his first season with Monaco. Then, last season he began to realize his promise by netting 14 in 55 games despite not being the spearhead of the attack.

During 2016, Lemar's value incresased from around 5 million in Jan to around 17 million by the end of the year.
according to transfermarkt.co.uk, Lemar's current value is around 20.5 million pounds. However, recent bids suggest that the highly inflated market will add at least 50% to that figure.
Stats show that Lemar's value has increased exponentially in the last year or so, so Arsenal may have missed the boat in getting the best value for money.
That aside, at 21 years of age , and, given the massive rise in transfer fees over the last couple of years, it is possible that Lemar could still end up being a wise imvestment. Given also that Mbappe will only be sold for figures north of 100 million, Lemar is much more a realistic proposition.
Essentially an attacking midfielder with the panache of Ox or Walcott, Lemar has, it seems a much better finish. Walcott's finishing is less than powerful despite his 100 goals for the Gunners, and, Ox flatters to deceive, one minute a wordl beater the next a hard working but barely noticeable combatant.
There are, of course a few concerns:
- Can he adjust to the EPL?
- Will his progress continue at the rate shown recently?
- Will he at 58 kg be strong enough to remain injury free.
- Can Arsenal get him at a reasonable price?
Given the limited experience that he has, his talent is clearly enough to justify interest from the Gunners. Will he end up a world beater or Walcott 2.0? .....Watch this space!
